About Charlie

First and forrmost, I am a screenwriter - MFA in Screenwriting and all. Secondly, I am a filmmaker - all jobs. Here is how I arrived here:

I was born in a small town in southeast Arkansas. With exciting events lacking, and a mother who had a desire for horror films, I spent much of his time in front of a television; because of this, I consider myself a product of the VHS era. I spent the rest of my time creating and telling stories to friends until, at age 15, I wrote my first screenplay. After graduating from high school I spent a brief three months in the U.S. Navy, but was discharged for an injury. Once arriving home, I immediately set out for college at the University of Central Arkansas where I studied Writing & Rhetoric and work in the school's theatre department building sets and assisting in lighting plays. After completing my Bachelor degree, I went on to Spalding University (Louisville, KY) where I earned my MFA in Screenwriting.

I began working in film in 2004 when I wrote, directed, and co-produced my first film. Since then, I has been on sets and working in the various facets of writing from publishing, consulting and teaching.

I am married and and have two kids.
