About Betty

Betty M. Williams formerly known as Betty Montgomery Williams is a performing artist on stage, film and television. She is also a Writer, Radio and Television Host, TV and Radio Producer, Painter and Sculptor. Betty started her entertainment career as a Dancer on the nationally syndicated television show "The Dance Connection" in Washington, DC. She later became a SpokesModel for the show and Coordinator of Fashion. After the national and international fame of the Dance Connection; Betty teamed up with Wille "MoonMan" Bacote, the Executive Producer of 'The Dance Connection and new creator of "The Dance Connection Video Show". She became the Show Coordinator and Co-Producer that made her responsible for booking musical guests , scouting talent, coordinating fashion segments , creating special dance scenes and managing craft services.

Betty got her first break as a TV Host on the Dance Connection Video show when the original Host had car problems and was a no show. She was prepared for the task by utilizing her educational training in Broadcast Journalism and Media Communications degree from Johnson C.Smith University in Charlotte, NC. She was tagged by her mentor and longtime friend Willie"MoonMan" Bacote with a suffix to her stage name , "The lady with the long name". Betty interviewed several Hip-hop, Blues and R&B recording artists during the beginning of their careers . She interviewed the hip-hop rap genius Jay-Z and many others including Genuwine , Jesse, Men of Vision, Sam Salter, R& B sensation, Rebbie Jackson ( the eldest sibling of the Jackson family who was signed under Michael Jackson's Sony label) and numerous others.

She was also one of the original fun bunch co-hosts for MoonMan's Radio show on WOL1450 AM. 95.9 FM Radio station in Washington, DC which is Kathy Hughes first owned radio station with Urban One formerly known as Radio One. Betty interviewed musical legends ,the late Johnny Taylor, Archie Bell from Archie Bell and the Drells, Clarence Carter, Dennis Edwards and the Temptations and several other R&B and Blues artists on radio and television. Betty also has an entertainment segment on MoonMan's Radio Show entitled "Betty Boo Got The Scoop" (BBGTS)." She creates, writes, produce and Hosts BBGTS . Betty Boo Got The Scoop brings you local and national news of interest on an entertainment platform. Betty Boo interviews local and national celebrities,business professionals and local and national news stories of interest, holistic health tips and motivational quotes.
Betty started her acting career in 2001 on stage and has performed in several stage productions, indie films, TV hosting, commercials and new media TV. She is a cast member of the Kuumba- Ensemble Heritage House Community Theater under the direction of Artistic Director, Rosalyn Gaines. Betty also performed in online webcasts soap operas and was the Host of Black News Review. Her interview with Andre Royo, the acclaimed actor on HBO "The Wire" and Fox "Empire" TV show showcased her tactful interviewing skills. Betty is one of the most sought after actors to portray a southern accent . Betty is dependable and dedicated to her craft and she will get the job done!
