About Cheryle
Cheryle L. Linturn is an author/screenwriter/artist and graduate of Connecticut School of Broadcasting, Branch, Illinois. She’s won various Editor’s choice awards for her poetry, including publication in several anthologies. Her poetry has taken 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place in various types of competitions. Loving poetry has given her a different perspective to writing novels.
Being in love with any form of writing Cheryle Linturn has written lyrics that have made it to publishers and won three ribbons for her songwriting skills.
Her enjoyment of things that go bump in the night, led her to design haunted houses for schools and several businesses. This interest in the dark and haunted things moved her towards writing a series about paranormal experiences she’s had in her life.
Feeling things from an empathic point of view allows her to be open to supernatural experiences; leading to the fictitious series, Paranormal Soul.
Cheryle L. Linturn doesn’t believe in writer’s block. “There are too many variables that surround us drawing out our creative side. A story can be built from a pencil, a cloud, a glass of water, a smell, a sound, and end up exploding into a super nova across the universe. We can build a story from every tiny incident in our own lives.”
The author has published one children’s book, ghostwritten a fantasy trilogy, ghostwritten a sci-fi trilogy, and two poetry books.
The author has an artistic side that allowed her to indulge herself in the 3-dimensional world in designing and constructing sets for a theatre group.
She is surrounded by nature in rural Indiana where she lives with her writer husband. Cheryle L. Linturn will continue to check the woods in the night for shadows, and listen for unusual chilling encounters in the dark, while noticing smells that don’t belong where they sometimes end up.
Unique traits: Cheryle Linturn has never been afraid to take on any creative challenge. She has the ability to multi-task in the creative industry. She can go from comedy to an emotional scene with ease, in real life and in writing skills. Open minded and can easily adapt to different and unique situations. Being highly intuitive and empathetic allows her to move from novels, to screenplays, writing lyrics, writing poetry, painting with emotion, and can capture the simple things in life that sometimes go unnoticed.
