Hi there!
My name is Jasmin Klinger and I am a multi-instrumentalist musician, sound designer and composer based in New York City.
I began composing music as a child, and fronted my first band at the age of 12. Since, I appeared with numerous rock, blues and jazz ensembles across my native Israel, and in special performances in New York City, handling vocals as well as lead guitar, bass, piano, harmonica and flute.
At 15, I began an apprenticeship at an independent recording studio, and was soon producing and engineering albums for other musicians. I am credited as producer and guitarist for Billboard Music Award- winner Daniel Dworsky’s album “Stubborn Naiveté” (2008), and “Sunshine & Butterflies” (2009) for Israeli recording artist Mayaj.
I earned her first film credits when I was 19, producing and engineering the musical score for the feature documentary “State of Suspension,” by Benny Bruner. Later on, along with Daniel Dworsky, I co-composed and recorded the music for Brunner’s “The Great Book
Robbery” documentary film. Those projects mark the beginning of my professional path in the world of music and sound for film.
From there on, I was lucky to have composed, recorded and mixed the score for “Almost Paris,” a feature film directed by Domenica Cameron-Scorsese, which premiered at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
Most recently, I have been working with different post-houses here in NYC and internationally, on various TV shows and films, both as sound editor/designer and composer.
