I LOVE anything & everything to do with the movie industry!
I have an extensive restaurant and hospitality background, and I would love to work as a consultant in films that involve food preparation shots. I also am known for my attention to detail, and I'm good with a camera, so I would be an excellent assistant to a Script Supervisor...any job having to do with continuity & consistency would be ideal.
I have recently relocated from Martha's Vineyard to the Miami area and am looking forward to seeing what opportunities may lie ahead.
In April & May 2012, I was involved in the taping of “Menemsha Blues”, a non-union TV Pilot comedy written by 3 guys who are punch-up writers for the Farrelly brothers. I played the role of the librarian, but spending time on the set made me extremely interested in the production end of the industry. I was helpful to the production staff in multiple ways: providing extras, providing props, and I even found them a professional make-up artist. The Production Manager was Diane Schoonover (dianeschoonover1@) and the Director was Jason Reulet (jasonreulet@).
In the fall of 2008, I was an extra in “Growth”, a feature-length movie by the film-making team of Gabriel Cowan and John Suits, also filmed on Martha’s Vineyard and released in 2010. (Link to Growth info: )
Back in the day, I worked for Glorious Affairs, the company who styled the amazing food display in the opening scene of True Lies starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
