Tim Granados

I'm Tim Granados, a German-born Scottish filmmaker. I live in Allentown in Lehigh Valley, PA. My interests lie in writing and directing suspense films, noirs, mysteries and dramas that are stylistically and visually reminiscent of classical Hollywood.

Films have been my biggest passion since childhood when I first saw Chaplin's Gold Rush at a secondary school screening (although I prefer Buster Keaton to Chaplin). Other influential films include my all-time favourite, Mysteries of Lisbon, Kiss Me Deadly, Alien (which I first watched when I was eight years old), The Red Shoes, My Man Godfrey, Johnny Guitar, The Killer, Le Samourai, High and Low, the Lone Wolf & Cub series and Mulholland Drive.

In 2011, I decided to pursue filmmaking in my free time and made the short films The Poet Dreaming Of The City Of Light (director, editor & cinematographer), The Sleeper (writer, director, editor & cinematographer) and Their Dreams of Lisbon (writer, director, editor & cinematographer). I made my first feature film, Blood's A Rover, in Scotland. I was the executive producer, writer, director, editor, cinematographer, sound designer and mixer. The film was screened at the L.A. Neo Noir Novel Script and Film Festival in May 2019 and is public on Vimeo.

Since the move to the US, I have made and am developing the following works:
