I've dipped an occasional toe back into the theatrical production world since making a mid-life career switch almost two decades ago (got a Masters in Theology and now do Jewish education) though the theatrical and tech theater skills still get used on a daily basis in non-theatrical settings. Now I'm looking to jump back in to the theatre world. I have a BFA ('77) from the North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Design and Production (1977) Have worked as a stage manager, venue manager, technical director, lighting/scenic/audio designer, musical director, conductor, accompanist, producer, production manager, stage director, and more. Musically, I started studying piano at the age of 5 at Julliard Pre-College. Playing piano, conducting, remains a significant part of my livelihood, even today. I grew up in NYC. I've lived in 13 states in my adult years (3 of them twice) though things were more stable than that makes it sound. I love working with students - I spent 8 years as production and facilities manager for a public school system, and a decade managing the performing arts facilities at a state university. I've taught music and drama in private schools. These days, I earn lots of income as a substitute teacher, and of course love to do the drama and music classes (and I'm sought after for that.)
