True Vision Entertainment LLC

True Vision Entertainment LLC, is an American record, film and television company founded by Othello I. York in 1997. The company is a subsidiary of York Empire LLC, which is also founded and own by York and family.

Othello I. York began his career in the mid 90's in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn New York interning as a personal assistant for his older cousin, then, artist manager of Okidoke Management company, Kedar Massenburg. At the time, the office was based out of Massenburgs brownstone home he shared with then, Rapper/Producer Glenn "Daddy-O" Bolton of the 80's rap group Stetsasonic. Massenburg, later combined his management and publishing company with a record label known now as Kedar Entertainment Inc. York, was trained in the Production, Marketing, A&R, and Promotion Department of the company. Later as Kedar Entertainment, secured a major distribution deal with Universal Music Group, and became a household name in the entertainment world, which boast major artists such as D'Angelo, Chico DeBarge, Erykah Badu, and India Arie, just to name a few. York was promoted to East Coast Director of Promotions. York's job demands intensified. In 1997 Kedar Entertainment, cut a deal with Motown record, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group. Massenburg, became president of Motown records. After some time, York felt it was time to follow his own dreams and ventures. With his cousin's blessings, York relocated to North Carolina and opened a fully loaded digital recording studio, Star Sound Studios, a record label, and Event promotion company known as True Vision Entertainment LLC. In the beginning, York focused most of his attention promoting concerts for major Hip Hop, R&B artists and Rave concerts with in the 100 cities of North Carolina. Also, operating his recording studio.
Growing up, York has always been fascination with the film and television industry. Noticing the major changes in the music industry, from record sales dramatically dropping, to music artists profiting more shifting from music to film and television. He decide it was time to make changes. He enrolled in a film school, in Wilmington NC, and learned all he could about the video, television, and film industry. Now armed with his training, and his experience with the entertainment, and music industry, York relaunched his company with a film, video, and television department, that is already in the process of producing film and television projects.
