About Romina

Romina Cocca, born in Argentina, started there her training in acting and musical theatre in her teens, then working in theatre and as a TV show host. In her early twenties she moved to New York City to complete her studies at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and the HB Studio (Uta Hagen). 
She also lived and worked in film and TV in México, and finally settled in Barcelona, where besides graduating from the Meisner Technique Program with teachers Javier Galitó-Cava, Rachael Adler and M. Graham Smith, she took special courses and masterclasses with directors such as Marco Calvani, Alfredo Sanzol, Julio Manrique, Clara Segura or Tom Bentley Fisher.
Among her most recent work in televisión it is worth emphasizing “Les de l’hoquei” (TV3/ Netflix), “Psicodriving” (Antena 3),  “La Peluquería” (RTVE) and “Kubala, Moreno i Manchón” (TV3).
She participated in short films and films including “Noche Transfigurada”, directed by Alexia Muiños, “Reflections”, directed by Bryan Goeres or “Una mañana de ensueño”, directed by Albert Pintó; also taking part in projects directed by Bigas Luna and Ventura Pons. 
She has performed in the theatre plays “Persones Potencialment Perillosas” (Dir. Roger Torns, Teatre Tantarantana), “Dos Familias” (Dir. Sergio Arróspide, cía. Dos Familias), “La nada” (Dir. Gisela Arnao, Short+Sweet Hollywood Festival), “Microporno por dinero” (Dir. Pablo Álvarez, Teatreneu), “Quasi, Maine” (Dir. Ramón Garrido, Teatre del Raval), “Familia” (Dir. Xavi Álvarez), “La més forta” (Dir. Nicolás Rivero) or “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” (The Unconventionalists, Teatreneu).
She has recently started materializing her fondness for stand up comedy, performing at the feminist comedy show “Calladitas estáis más guapas” in El Molino theatre.
