Roger DeBeers Sr

Roger DeBeers, Sr., BA, History SFSU, MA English and MFA Creative Writing Goddard College. His varied background as a college English instructor, commercial pilot, flight instructor, government functionary, househusband, single custodial parent, lay about, remodeling contractor, Red Diaper Baby, Street Kid, Marine Corps corporal and Army Officer lends richness to his writing.

DeBeers is a consummate survivor of the streets on San Francisco after his father was murdered when the boy was seven and subsequently abandoned at the age of twelve.

Roger DeBeers, Sr. is a mystery fiction novelist, short story writer and poet. His mystery/thriller Murder is Forever is set in New Hampshire and features Hispanic Detective Margarita Benica Aurguello O'Brien. She investigates with her new partner Andy Pick a pro-life congressman who has been murdered in the parking lot of and abortion clinic.

Roger's poems and short stories have been published in several anthologies. He has just completed a mid 20th coming of are hero's journey Oliver Twist type of story set in San Francisco. Roger is currently working on a 12 novel mystery series set in the northern coast of California featuring Violent Crimes Detective Lars Thompson, Jr.
