An eccentric private detective takes on an extra marital affair case which makes him question everything about love, fantasy, betrayal and redemption.

SYNOPSIS:

Detective Kong agrees to take on one more matrimonial case to help Suraya - his young female assistant, distinguish: the good men from bad. Yet, despite his disdain for these types of cases, he finds himself delving deeper into the subjects of love, fantasy, betrayal and illusion.

He sets up a sting – a 1920s jazz speakeasy at Jay Brown’s funk and soul bar - with the help of Ms Kate Chin who works in the movies. However, Kate brings to his attention, a priceless old Malay dagger that has gone missing from the props department and a note scribbled in lipstick on a mirror.

As Derek Kong attempts to solve both cases, his brilliant mind and eccentric methods turn a simple act of catching a philandering husband into a surreal journey of role play and redemption.
