Sandeep Varma

Films have always been a staple diet of my life. I always try to take something back from a movie I watch. Watching
and absorbing countless such movies translated into my first Short Film 'Wilderness', which I Co-Wrote and
Directed.
I am basically an ex-IT person by profession with over 12 years of experience in the field. I always approach an
idea/thread with a blank mind. As the idea starts to infect my mind, questions start to form, like; Does the story
make sense?; What do I want to tell my viewers?; Can I film it the way I want it?; etc.
This is how I approach every film I write. I hope to write and direct more films that stay true to my heart and make
viewers think about people, about the world they live in and lastly about themselves.
As a first step, I quit my IT job in November of 2018 and have been trying/struggling to write and also to get into the
industry. I know it is going to be a difficult road ahead, but I am ready to work hard to make my dream come true.
