Shawn Harris

Shawn Harris, a production coordinator, production manager, writer, director, and all-around creative formed Lazy Park Entertainment, LLC to fill your “lazy day” with entertaining stories birth from personal truths. She has a long-held passion for filmmaking and is energized by an organized production that produces a well-crafted and visually-stunning story. After creating several short videos for corporate parties, Shawn fully committed to filmmaking after working on set for local Houston, TX feature film productions. Shawn has written, directed, and/or produced a documentary short, PSAs, promotional videos, and several narrative shorts, including Doorbell, which was a finalist and premiered at the 2018 Houston Black Film Festival. She is a Women in Film and Television-Houston board member using her brand of leadership to propel the Houston film community in the moving image industry. Additionally, Shawn is an FAA Part 107 certified sUAS drone pilot.

In 2019, Shawn launched and served as Competition Director for the Zeal Reel Micro Short Film Competition™. This competition challenged filmmakers to test the limits of their creativity in 60 seconds or less. In 2021, the competition returned with growth in submissions and soiree/screening attendance to Shawn's delight and surprise given the current state of in-person film fest gatherings.

Shawn is currently seeking crew positions as a production coordinator, production manager, or doing script-breakdowns.

Fun fact: Shawn loves to renovate and flip houses with her husband.
