A rockin’ rowdy washed up foosballer, one year sober and battling early onset Parkinson’s, returns for a chance to win another state championship.

SYNOPSIS:

Rockin’ Robbie Robison (Roby), a late 50’s burnout, is one year sober. A once rising star on the World Foosball Tour soon became a drunk no one wanted to play with. After a 25 year absence from the game, an old partner asks him to play in the Minnesota State Foosball Championships, but with Roby showing early signs of Parkinson’s, he is unsure he can still play at a high level. As Roby tries to mend the relationship with his daughter and ex-wife, he is still haunted by the tragic suicide of his son and feels compelled to drink again.

The story takes place in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minnesota has an impressive history when it comes to foosball, and the state is home to a number of world champions. Some of today’s local players still travel and compete against the best foosball players in the world.

The stakes are high when Rockin’ Roby takes the table, but with Robbie showing early signs of Parkinson’s, he feels time is running out.
