About Dean

I have been involved in the film industry for 10 years, taking my filming endeavors to Edinburgh, Sydney, and landing back in South Africa. Having educational roots in literature and history I often find inspiration from local and global authors, telling tales of universal truth. Having grown up in South Africa, it is important for me to remain grounded and local. In this pursuit, my passion is entreating the world in beautiful, inspirational, and stylistic cinema. Working with creative masterminds in a field that demands collaboration to the nth degree.

I have done commissioned work for BMW, Live Differently Australia, and have won several international film awards for my short films. I also launched a screenwriting podcast - Called Screenwriting Gods: .

Lastly, my production company is called Killer Wingfield Productions, based on Tom Wingfield's audacious rant in Tennesse William's Glass Mengaerie .
