Rafael Hernán Gamboa is a freelance digital filmmaker with a wide variety of credits that include short films, music videos, commercials, corporate videos, and documentaries. In his free time, he makes video essays on film and television on his YouTube channel The Long Take, a few of which have been featured on the A.V. Club. While he’s gathered a few film credits over the years, Violet is the first “real” narrative film he’s written and directed.
