C. Daniel Imler is a musician, artist, filmmaker and writer from the Mid-west. Born in the North-west region of the United States his families roots run deep in Missouri. He was raised in Jefferson City, Missouri and has lived much of his life in the Mid-west. The Family originates in the Pennsylvania area of the country his family then migrated to Missouri after the Civil War. Mr. Imler always loved art and feel in love with makeup art in the 80’s and was hooked to making gore. Life goes on and in his thirties he went back to school obtaining degrees in business, art, education and film production. Writing became a happy byproduct of working on a few film sets and the ideas started rolling out.
C. Daniel Imler has been playing drums since he was 12 and continues to bang around on the skins. He played with various cover and original bands over the years and will continue to do so until his body falls apart… His words! Music has always been a big part of his therapy and insight. The drums bring things into order for Mr. Imler which is like a limb or extension of his being.
In 2018 Mr. Imler optioned a Stephen King short story through the Dollar Babies program and made the story into a short film called, “The Other Side: Episode 91 I Am the Doorway”. Mr. Imler continues to pursue making film in Missouri and writing as often as he can fun and exciting stories in multiple genres.
In 2019, Mr. Imler released a series book books for special effects makeup that all ages can enjoy and have a complete safe a natural products. The books, House of Character Arts Creature Art series, are the first of many to be released, the next being a science fiction novel.
C. Daniel Imler continues to live in Jefferson City, Missouri with is four children and wife. He continually tries to promote film in Missouri and help raise awareness for the industry in the Mid-west. In the future Mr. Imler hopes to make many more film for all ages and genres and create a production studio that will bring high quality entertainment.
