I first learned I had a knack for creativity in third grade, when my father took me to a symphony performance. I fell immediately in love with the violin, and began learning both it and singing. I wrote my first two music pieces in elementary school (though they admittedly were quite bad, but definitely fun to do).
In high school I began writing stories, which continued on after. My musicianship faded after attempting college, of which I had to drop out due to a sudden change in financial aid. During the financial crisis of 2008, both I and my wife lost our jobs and have struggled to make ends meet, but I continued writing during this time and gained a knack for writing action sequences.
Only in the past few years have I really gotten into this new passion of filmmaking. I have a feature written, ready to go, but as it is IP owned I am working on honing my skills and gaining experience to give me a better chance of succeeding in making the feature exactly how I want it. During this time I have written and directed several short films. The first, "Alone", was accepted as a finalist in the Radio from Hell 1st International Film Festival (a local amateur film festival). "Rain" was the first short film I've done with a full crew and actors other than myself.
I am looking to hone and expand my skills, and am open to trying out any position available so long as you'll have me. Everybody starts somewhere!
