Ruschiene Alicia Deidrick is an immensely enthusiastic Jamaican Actress and Voice Artist who shares an incredible passion for the art of captivating the hearts and minds of the general public. Born on 2 December 1986 in St. Andrew, Jamaica, she holds a Bachelor of Science Degree with First Class Honours in Tourism Management from the University of The West Indies. Ruschiene’s love and admiration for the niche of acting inspired her to pursue her passion as a profession. She stepped into the world of entertainment with an aim to accomplish a larger than life goal of contributing to the success and development of the theatre and film industry. Ruschiene is also a professional Massage Therapist and had been serving the tourist area of Treasure Beach, St. Elizabeth (Jamaica), as well as Mandeville, Manchester (Jamaica), and St. Andrew (Jamaica).

Ruschiene Deidrick embarked on her professional acting career in the year 2013 and has had the luxury of showcasing her broad range of acting skills in renowned short-films and theatre plays. She served as a lead in the award-winning short-film “Learning to Swim” and contributed in another award-winning short-film “Heart Shaped Box.” As a theatre artist, Ruschiene performed as a lead and supporting actress in widely popular plays including For My Daughter, Border Patrol pt. 1 & 2, Vagina Monologue: ‘The Memory of Her Face’, Sins of the Flesh, Paycheck, and Trouble with the Johnsons. The formidable blend of passion and natural talents had assisted her in mesmerizing the entertainment lovers and had helped her in becoming a reputable brand. Ruschiene had also played the role of the lead actor in several eminent music videos and had worked alongside numerous renowned Dancehall and Reggae artists of this generation such as Wayne Marshall, Alaine, Jahmiel, Alex (T.O.K.), Busy Signal, Dexta Daps, and Sizzla Kalonji. In addition to this, Ruschiene had also served as a voiceover artist and had worked in several Radio Adverts, TV Commercials, and Animated Videos.

Serving as a Theatre Artist, Ruschiene had showcased her remarkable skills as an actor in the regions of Canada, The United States, Grand Cayman, The British Virgin Islands, and St. Maarten. She had earned credits from the Edna Manley College of the Visual & Performing Arts in Acting for Screen & TV. Besides this, Ruschiene had also actively taken part in several acting sessions and workshops conducted by Past Director of School of Drama, Edna Manley College Pierre Lemaire, Jamaica Animation Nation, American Actress Charlene “Michael” Hyatt, American Actress Cassandra Freeman, and ListenMi Caribbean. She had acquired a great deal of acclamation and recognition for her work as an artist and had earned acknowledgment from San Diego International Film Festival, Probemaster Entertainment, Lignum Vitae Film Festival, and Gatffest Film Festival. Recently too, the mentioned award-winning “Learning to Swim” has been successfully screened at the 2019 CARIFESTA/Trinidad & Tobago Film Festival, 2019 Upsala Film Festival, Sweden, and the 2020 Pan African Film Festival held in Los Angeles.

As an artist, Ruschiene’s primary objective is to gradually climb the ladder of success in the entertainment industry and present her talents at the grand stages across the globe. She aims to work in hit Feature Films & Original Netflix Series and is currently on the lookout for an inspiration to produce a mega full-length film. December 2019 ended with a bang for Ruschiene, as she sparkled on the cover of The Jollywood Jamaica Magazine exuding graceful finesse and confidence. Ruschiene’s 2020 endeavors include the release of ‘ASGAYA’ (Apocalyptic Film Sequel) playing ‘Genesis’ produced by Pop Down Studio (LA, California), other music video & film projects, as well as further advancing her acting career across the oceans. Another notable mention for 2020 is the upcoming release of a collaborative video project with Los Angeles-based actor, Nollis Dewar, for a charity organization La Familia Movements that he founded in 2013.

Ruschiene’s greatest source of inspiration comes from serving humanity and is an avid seeker of knowledge who aims to cultivate, develop, and harness her intrinsic features and characteristics. Besides this, she shares a deep interest in the subjects of metaphysics, philosophies, esoteric, and spiritual doctrines, as well as having a great passion for music. She seeks pleasure in the outdoors and is an adventurous soul who greatly cherishes meditation, traveling, plant-based medicines, and dancing.
