About Mel

Mel is a non-binary filmmaker and video editor. Growing up with four siblings, Mel was used to finding ways to be the center of attention, but add a psychic mother into the mix and the self-taught creative's passion for DRAMA and COMEDY makes perfect sense.

After receiving their BA in Cinema Productions in 2014, they co-created the collective, Richmond City Media where they hosted three film festivals and produced an abundance of short form content showcasing local businesses and artists alike.

Mel went on to edit and produce video for Huffpost, A Plus and ViacomCBS and continue to focus on writing and directing dramatic stories of internal change and triumph.
