Michael Goldburg

MICHAEL GOLDBURG is an award-winning writer/director and alum of NYU Grad Film. He was once offered compensation in pizza for a screenwriting job, which became the inspiration for his award-winning short film and feature screenplay for SURE-FIRE. The SURE-FIRE script is top-ranked on Coverfly and has placed in several top contests such as ScreenCraft, Shore Scripts, ISA, and CineStory. Michael also made an award-winning short proof of concept of SURE-FIRE that caught the attention of Sony Pictures Classics and Bleecker Street who are both tracking the feature for distribution. Michael’s team for the SURE-FIRE feature includes advisor Joe Pirro, Head of Production at Symbolic Exchange, founded by James Schamus (former CEO of Focus Features), who feels Michael is part of the "next wave of emerging filmmakers to break through to wider audiences." Michael is developing another feature script, SMALL GAME, an adaptation of a darkly comic novel by the former book editor of "The Chicago Tribune,” in Sundance Collab with Oscar-nominated advisor Naomi Foner, while his comedy shorts are featured on Amazon Prime and Funny or Die.
