About Richard

Writer/Director and Producer of award-winning, cult feature film, THE HONEY KILLER which since it's release on Amazon Prime and Google Play in 2018 has become one of the most pirated, shared and watched films on the internet. It went viral in at least NINE different languages and has been running at over 60m illegal hits on Google. This unknown film has become a bona fide, underground world wide hit. It is still getting over 20,000 views a month on Amazon Prime, nearly three years after its release.

The follow-up screenplay, HANDFUL OF THIEVES was nominated for Best International Screenplay 2018 in the Beverly Hills Film Festival and is Quarter Finalist in Stage 32's Screenplay Competition 2022. It is being pitched for a £5-6m budget this year, 2022/23. A fast moving bank heist movie set in Southern Spain that's wrapped around a love story between two master thieves, HOT evolves like a modern-day, spaghetti western style, thriller. It also has a 10 part TV series structured to run off the back of the movie.

Because of the success of The Honey Killer, we are now considering a bigger budget remake, sequel and spin-off television series called, The Honey Killers.

Richard has also Directed or Produced well over 80 Documentaries and factual television programmes around the world, and across a wide variety of genres. From the highly successful, fly-on-the-wall documentary Ch 5 series, GPs: Behind Closed Doors to the hit reality show, ITV's The Only Way is Essex, Current affairs on Tonight with Trevor McDonald and extreme location, documentary, Ian Wright in the Arctic, Sky One's highest rating documentary of the year which saw Richard take the ex-Arsenal & England footballer on an expedition to climb the highest mountain in the Arctic. He also wrote, produced and directed a two hour documentary feature on the New York Police Department which was aired prime time, Saturday night across the U.S. I have worked for National Geographic, Discovery, Discovery/Animal Planet, ITV, BBC, Ch4, Ch5 and Sky in the UK.

Richard has won six international awards for Directing & Scriptwriting and was nominated for an eight in 2022 for Handful of Thieves.

Under his company, Razor Films, he also has a slate of award winning, screenplays from Handful of Thieves (2020), Fast Lane to Eden (2022/23), One Life To Go (2024) and A Day for Heroes (2026).
