Mark E. McCann is a fifty-year-old native of northwest Arkansas. In addition to having spent twenty-seven years in law enforcement (ten as a detective and crime-scene investigator), he is also an award-winning screenwriter. To date he has co-written three feature films that have started Eric Robert, Joey Lawrence, and Grammy-winner Michael W. Smith. He has also been a finalist in over a dozen major screenwriting competitions. Including include being a fourth-place finalist in the Emerging Screenwriter Competition, making the top 100 of Scriptapalooza, the top 10% of Page International, and the Quarterfinals of Fresh Voices. He is married with two teenage children, two lazy cats, and a dog who doesn’t know the meaning of personal space.
