David Block

David Block has been coloring images for over 20 years. Working on features, television shows, webisodes, documentaries, commercials, shorts and music videos for all of the major and independent studios in Hollywood and beyond. He has helped to craft the looks in new productions, and restore to the original intent the looks of many remastered and restored movies. Adding to his strong color correcting background, David has additionally been doing on line editorial work. After working at several major post houses in Los Angeles for most of his career, he went out on his own and opened a small studio, A + D Images, where he enjoys continuing this same enthusiasm working with clients directly. David is low key with a strong work ethic and dedicated to giving each project his all.

“I want my clients to leave, proud of the work we’ve done. I do that in the studio by listening to what they have to say, and how they want their shows to look. When ideas aren’t defined, I can add my creativity to the mix. Remastering has a whole different set of considerations, like what was the original look, or what was a previously approved look, or which set of elements do we have to work with, to name a few. Integrity is important to me. Thinking ahead, and getting the details correct, while working within your timetable and still paying attention to the artistry is the center of my focus.”
