About Eli

Eli is a Film Producer, Film Promoter and Performer. She is currently a Member of the Screening Committee at AFI Fest as well as a Member of the Board of Directors of Cinematográfica y Escenica de México. Her areas of expertise are film programming, promotion and production; covering clearance & copyright and compliance as well as broadcast, digital and theatrical distribution.

Her latest production is the avant-garde film “Still the Earth Moves”, winner of the CAMIRA Critics Jury Award and considered as one of the best films of the year by the BFI (British Film Institute) Sight&Sound and CineVue. Her productions have been screened in Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Brazil, USA, Martinique, Uruguay, Ecuador, Chile, Cuba in Exhibitions such as the Mostra de Cinemas Ibero-Americanas and Festivals like The International Festival of New Latin American Cinema of Havana. In addition to the above, she has promoted and curated the International Short Film Festival El Cine a Las Calles with presence in Mexico, Colombia, Honduras and the USA, as well as the Cinema Libre Art House Film Cicle in partnership with the Archive of Cineteca Nacional.

Eli is passionate about films (specially independent, art house and avant garde films) and is currently extending her area of expertise into emerging technologies for storytelling (such as VR, AR and AI),, digital assets and cryptoeconomics; with special focus on how the entertainment/cultural/art industries are starting to be developed and shaped by disruptive technologies.
