About Ricardo

Music Composer, Music Producer and Publicist. He has received 20 awards for his work, including a “Kikito” in the 1995 Gramado Film Festival, and the Shell Award of Theater for Best Music in 2014 for “Caros Ouvintes”, by Otavio Martins. He produced some of the soundtracks for TV Globo’s soap-operas “Jóia Rara”, “Além do Horizonte” and “Órfãos da Terra”, and the music for the documentaries “Work In progress – inside OSESP” and “50 Years of Balé da Cidade de São Paulo”, directed by Diego de Godoy for Prodigo Films. From 2006 thru 2013 he composed all the original music for Brazilian contemporary Dance Company Mariana Muniz. He teaches Sound Design for Theater in the SP Escola de Teatro. He worked with theater directors Jô Soares, Cacá Rosset, Kleber Montanheiro, Marco Antônio Pâmio and Neyde Veneziano. He composed the lyrics for “Aparecida – um musical”, written by Walcyr Carrasco. He has a Master Degree by Universidade de São Paulo in Escola de Comunicações e Artes with his research about “meaning of song's lyrics in contemporary Musical Theater in Brazil”.
