About Eric

Eric Colton first moved to LA at 19 years old after his freshmen year at Michigan State University. Sixth months later he had earned his SAG CARD starring opposite Norm MacDonald on the CBS Sitcom A Minute With Stan Hooper.

Eric spent the better part of the next decade building his resume and craft in Los Angeles. His focus shifted upon a chance encounter with his current writing partner, Emanuel Millar, a veteran of the film business, who discovered Colton’s talent for screenwriting. In the years to come, they would found a production company, International Film Productions, Inc.

Known for his roles on ABC’s Desperate Housewives and for his work as the title character Swell in the Amazon Prime mini-series of the same name, Colton has created a reputation in his 30s as a unique, positive, fun and collaborative talent. His short film Brothers, which he wrote, starred in and produced along with his company, is currently making festival rounds. Now residing in NYC, the up-and-coming filmmaker is known and respected as much for his screenwriting prowess as he is for his acting talent.
