H.B. Duran is what you get when you try to cram too many backstories into one character. When trying to be a child actress didn’t pan out, or an Egyptologist, or a tax expert, or a rock star, or a video game developer, H.B. looked around and realized she accidentally created a 20-year writing career instead. A lifelong gamer, her award-nominated journalism about the gaming industry has been featured in top esports, video games, computing, and marketing publications. Sometimes, people on TV or at conventions ask her to talk about stuff. Despite all the misadventures, H.B.’s first passion has always been screenwriting. She has written over a dozen scripts for TV, films, comic books, and social media. H.B.’s official residence is “in the clouds,” but you can usually find her in Colorado with her husband, writing supernatural scripts and trying to make friends with every animal she meets.
