About Joe

I am an author and screenwriter, and cybersecurity consultant at my day job. I write stories focused on love, family, and all the things that can tear us apart - and finding ways to make ourselves whole again.

With the high demand for IP from Hollywood, I took on a new challenge in 2022 and created a TV pilot, adapted from my unpublished trilogy. DIFFERENT WINGS is an emotional romance and family drama, with an escapist realism in the vein of This Is Us. Although fictional, DIFFERENT WINGS is inspired by the relationship between my wife Jennifer and her brother Scott, who has intellectual and developmental disabilities - and is treasured by all who know him.

I am pleased to share that my screenplay for DIFFERENT WINGS received the following accolades in 2022:
- a Double Recommend through Stage 32 Script Services, and placement in "The Best of Stage 32" Lookbook.
- making the shortlist for the final round of judging in the 2022 Page Turner Screenplay Award.
- winning The Best Screenplay Title Award in the 2022 Page Turner Awards.

I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the Stage 32 community for the education and support which enabled me to grow exponentially as a writer. In particular, I highly recommend Anna Henry's webinar "Netflix + Stage 32 Present: Television Pilot Story Structure". It was a game-changer for me, and provided the blueprint for my success.

We're all in this together.
