About Marianne

Actress with a life of rich source material. Studied at William Esper Studio and now with Anthony Abeson.

Wrote, produced and performed in a play at the Cherry Lane Theatre in NYC -- now writing feature screenplay based on that story. Lead role in award-winning short film, Lady Hunters. Cast in same role for upcoming feature version. Many, many way off-broadway plays and short films.

Currently hosting a podcast based on my career leap: Mare Out There: Leaving a Message, on itunes and others.

I have had a deeply rewarding career in health care. A Child Life Specialist by training, I have worked with children and adults living with terminal and /or chronic conditions. In addition to work in hospitals and community organizations in NYC, I have traveled to Africa to volunteer with children in hospitals. First, to Kenya with Operation Smile and then to Cape Town, South Africa, where I lived for nine weeks, working on the burn and cancer units at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.

Now hoping to make as much art as I can.
