Maverick Moore is an award-winning filmmaker from Texas.
Beginning as a skateboarding videographer, Maverick is now a writer, director, and editor.
Collectively, his narrative short films have been recognized by over 100 film festivals worldwide. His previous film, SHOTGUN, has won 18 awards (including several jury and audience awards for Best Picture) and screened at several Oscar-qualifying festivals, including the Palm Springs International ShortFest and the Nashville Film Festival, where the film screened together with master filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard’s recent film, GOODBYE TO LANGUAGE. His current film, MY DINNER WITH WERNER, is currently on the film festival circuit and has screened at Fantasia Film Festival and several Oscar-qualifying festivals such as HollyShorts Film Festival and the Austin Film Festival. Expected to be released late fall 2020, the film has also won multiple awards from festivals, including Best Comedy Short from FilmQuest and Best Texas Film at the USA Film Festival.
Maverick is currently based in Waco, Texas, where he also serves as the short film programmer for Deep in the Heart Film Festival.
