I am an optioned screenwriter and military veteran who writes scripts on assignment for producers. I write mainly science-fiction and fantasy, but I also craft contemporary thrillers, and stories of the supernatural. I graduated with a Master Screenwriting Certificate from ScreenwritingU out of Los Angeles, completed John Truby’s course, The Anatomy of Story, and continue to learn every day to expand my knowledge and hone my expertise.
I love working with producers to fulfill their visions for the big screen. To date, I have written two screenplays for producers around the world and am working on three more still in development. I have completed several of my own projects making fourteen screenplays total. I have also written three novels, numerous poetry, two stage plays, and several short stories.
My feature film script THE IMMOLATION is a finalist at this year’s Oniros Film Awards and REDteam Films Awards. Another of my features, ALL IS FARE was a quarter-finalist at the 2019 Fresh Voices Screenplay Competition. My script, SACRED TOMB is currently in production in India. I won the Editor’s Choice Award for my poem NO LONGER, published in “An Armory of Language” 2001, and many of my poems have appeared in various publications too numerous to mention. I am a winner of two Journalism Scholarships from Brandon University, Manitoba where he pursued an English Degree.
To better understand the art of writing for the stage and screen, I gained acting positions in Community Theatre and as a background actor for the big screen. My credits include Lee in “STORM WARNING” by Margaret Pople, Sgt. Major Morris in “THE MONKEY’S PAW” by W.W. Jacobs and Inspector Hound in “THE REAL INSPECTOR HOUND” by Tom Stoppard. As a background actor, I appeared in “WRONG TURN IV”, “PERCY VS. GOLIATH” with Christopher Walken, and “A DOG’S JOURNEY”.
Even with forty-plus years of writing, I am a firm believer that “The craft of writing is never honed to a sharp enough edge, there is always more to learn.”
