Nick Sakai’s passion for acting goes back as far as he can remember and he majored in Theatre Arts at The State University of New York at Buffalo (later, transferred to CUNY, Hunter where he received his degree). It was in his senior year that Nick travelled to New York City to attend a Tisch summer session, and had the opportunity to audition for his first off-Broadway show, Stonewall, directed by Tina Landau and produced by En Garde Arts. In the audience for his performance was the casting director for the TV series All My Children and he called Nick for his first audition, which launched his television career. Nick went on to work on Guiding Light (with Frank Grillo and Wendy Moniz),Third Watch, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, As the World Turns and Saturday Night Live, also working in theatre, film, and featured in commercial and voiceover work.
His recent credits include High Maintenance (Season 2), The Affair (Season 3) Orange is the New Black (Season 4), Bashira (starring Liam Aiken) and also self-produced projects such as “Ms.Kiss” which is being prepared for the festival circuits.
Nick is currently represented by ATB Talent, bicoastal agency based in Los Angeles and New York City.
