About Chris Wonnacott
Chris Wonnacott is an alumna of Point Park University (PPU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She holds a BA in Writing for Film and Media with a minor in history. Currently, she is pursuing her goal of inspiring audiences through her historical screenplays including "All For Revenge," "The Johnstown Flood," and "Purple Heart Battalion," and her romantic comedies "Naughty and Ninety," and "The Power of Magic."
During her college years, she wrote a promotional script for “Wigs for Kids” and acted in the short film. She also hosted a Pittsburgh/PPU charity event in conjunction with the film shoot to raise awareness and money for the nonprofit organization. Additionally, Ms. Wonnacott acted as an extra in an episode of “Hawaii Five-O.”
As for her professional writing career, the "All For Revenge" script and the "Naughty and Ninety" scripts are currently being shopped by Tiffany Boyle and Nicole McLendon of Ramo Law PC and the novel "All For Revenge" is on the Launchpad Honorable Mention List.
Prior to her writing career, Ms. Wonnacott operated a nationwide moving company with her two sons for fifteen years. During her tenure as president, she was nominated for the Tampa Bay Journal Woman of the Year and her company ranked 14 among the top 300 companies in Business Leader Magazine.
Ms. Wonnacott currently resides in Pennsylvania where she enjoys a passion for family, writing, history, research, and travel.
Unique traits: I think the closest distance between two people is a smile. I have a sense of humor and enjoy making people feel welcome in a new environment. I love to use the power of words to inspire and encourage people to think about the choices they make in life. Everyone can make a difference by being kind, considerate, and thoughtful, one step at a time.
