About Ariel

I have been a writer for as long as I can remember. However, it was my interest in the mind and my
ability to easily connect with people, that led me to attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical
University where I studied psychology. And as an artist, it is my sole purpose to change the world one
story at a time.

As a master storyteller, I believe in using words to heal people (think Yoda meets Issa Rae). In 2017, I
wrote and produced my first movie, “Angela’s Awakening.” Talented actress Tamika Shannon (OWN’s- Put A Ring On It) stars opposite the dynamic Anthony Dalton (Saints & Sinners, Tyler Perry’s- Sistahs), to portray Angela’s battle with depression. This riveting film was an official selection of the Women of African Descent Film Festival and premiered in New York in 2018. This project was designed as a conversation piece to promote mental health awareness in the Black community.
