About Andrea

Andrea Squires has a BA in Theatre from Bard College and an MEd in Instructional Design from UMass-Boston. She is a member of the Harvard Square Scriptwriters and the TC2 Playlab. In 2024, a scene from her play-in-progress "Revolutionary Actors" was performed at the TC2 New Playwrights Festival. "Revolutionary Actors" is historical fiction about an actor and his family during the American Revolution.

She has written one biopic screenplay, "Louisa's War," about Louisa May Alcott's time as a nurse in the Civil War. She has several screenplays in progress in the genres of historical fiction, comedy, and horror.

She acted professionally during the 1980's-2000's. From 2007-2018, she worked in Williamsburg, VA as, as a Training Specialist in presentation techniques, and as a Theatrical Interpreter, portraying characters in the historic area of Colonial Williamsburg.

Currently she makes her living as an instructional designer, creating eLearning and other training at Boston University School of Public Health.

Her dream is to become a working screenwriter and playwright.
