About Sophie

Denver-based, Minnesota-born Editor specializing in long and short-form documentary content. Currently, I am the Senior Editor for F4D Studio in Golden, CO which will be releasing the documentary film "From the Passenger Seat" in 2021. I have shot and edited everything from music videos, to outdoor documentary shorts, to food commercials. My degree in journalism comes in handy when confronted with journalistic ethics problems in documentary films and saves a lot of time with storybuilding, grammar, and interviewing.

Unique traits: One of my special skills (even though I am usually in front of a Premiere window), is interviewing people on set. I know how to make people feel comfortable in front of a camera so that they will be confident and speak naturally. This also really helps for the edit because I already know how the interview went!
