I draw creativity from circumstance and experience. All my life I knew this was the industry for me, however my first taste of it was in high school. A reel-to-reel to Reel video production class, and joining theater Tech to learn the behind the scenes of it all.
I spent five years in the military as a Navy photojournalist. After that I started my real filmmaking journey by getting my Bachelor's degree in film editing from Columbia College Chicago.
After College I began collaborating with many filmmakers including feature and documentary. I became a freelance video producer and editor producing and editing, and sometimes shooting many infomercials and regular commercials. I produced an edited length documentary in 2010.
From 2007 to 2012 I taught video editing and Newsroom techniques to journalism students at USC Annenberg School of communication and journalism before leaving to work as a digital production editor for a prestigious Computer Science magazine publication.
The last five years I've worked as a freelance photographer, video producer, and social media video editor. I've worked a lot in extreme sports videos, pet and government photography, as well as producing small short features and video sketches.
You can find me weekly on my YouTube "Cinema Gulp" channel which I started five years ago.
Happy to be here amongst fellow creatives and hope to collaborate with somebody soon.
