Winning the 2019 Screencraft Cinematic Short Story is a highlight of my journey as a writer thus far.
It fuelled my confidence to be in this space.
Currently, I am taking mentorship to become a literary agent! Rewriting my winning psychological thriller short story into a novel, polishing a short horror script, and outlining another novel. I hold a Masters of Creative Writing.
This adventure started when I traded my legal career and sunny beaches of Sydney for a rural setting in Ireland where the streets, literally, have no name (or lights). But in the darkness of that space, hidden in the words and sentences, I discovered the power of stories. And I believe this to be the most wondrous of discoveries.
I love taking a story idea and working on it until it becomes its own living, breathing thing! For me, character and structure give the essence to an idea!
I believe the world needs more stories, different narratives to be shared, and a great time to be creative is now.
I am new to Stage 32 and looking form a supportive network where stories and ideas can be developed.
