Robbie Lemieux is an award-winning filmmaker working out of New York and Ontario.
Originally from Ottawa, Canada, Robbie graduated from the Film & Television program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, in 2015. Since then he has been working as a freelance producer, while writing, directing and producing his own films and developing material for film and television.
As a producer for Videofashion, the world’s longest-running fashion television production company, Robbie oversees the production of an extensive slate of fashion television and online video content for worldwide distribution. Robbie has produced and written dozens of hours of television episodes (including for the series Videofashion News, Fashion VIP, and Videofashion Designers), which have all had distribution on streaming platforms (including Amazon Prime and Hulu) and broadcast television worldwide.
As an award-winning writer and director, Robbie’s films have premiered at festivals in Canada and the United States. His horror films Scorch, The Woods and Ed all premiered at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival (in 2017, 2018 and 2019 respectively). The Woods was an official selection at the New York Shorts International Film Festival and Queen Palm International Film Festival, where it also won Bronze for Best Short Film — Horror, and was nominated for Best Director — Short Film. Robbie’s comedy short The Break In premiered at the Beaufort International Film Festival in 2016.
Robbie has produced multiple independent films and music videos, including the official music videos for Chloe Lilac’s “Summer” and “Manic Pixie Dream” (contracted by RCA Records), and the short films Still Grove (coming-of-age drama), I-ris (queer sci-fi horror), and The Woods (proof-of-concept for a horror feature of the same name).
