Mariannjely Marval is a bilingual screenwriter driven by a strong awareness of the underrepresentation of Latinx voices in the entertainment industry. During the pandemic, she joined a mentorship program led by renowned writer/producer Richard Brandes (Jeepers Creepers, Penny Dreadful), resulting in the successful sale and production of her first thriller feature. Currently, Mariannjely is immersed in writing more features, infusing her Venezuelan background and early twenties experience in the United States to offer fresh perspectives on the immigrant experience.
