About Brian

Brian is a creative professional with decades of experience, most recently as an Executive Producer, overseeing the production of a surprising amount of both pre-produced, and live educational content for premier online ed tech company: PAPER. Before running the Paper Video Division, Brian worked for decades at industry-leading family entertainment companies such as DISNEY, WARNER BROS., NICKELODEON, etc., on countless AAA entertainment brands.

Brian knows about creating, developing, preserving and selling a brand. He understands engaging narrative, creative production from concept to casting… from world-building to user experience… voice direction to marketing, etc. Additionally, Brian has experience leading teams, and working interdepartmentally, to get such content developed, produced and delivered!

He has written on the award winning, current production of THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE, as well as story editing on Cartoon Network Asia’s comedy Monster Beach. Previously, Brian was a staff story editor, developing on Nickelodeon’s reboot of TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES. Before that, a staff writer for 6 years at The Walt Disney Company’s: Disney Junior on MICKEY & THE ROADSTER RACERS, the sci-fi family adventures of MILES FROM TOMORROWLAND and 4 successful seasons of the Emmy-nominated and Annie Award-winning JAKE & THE NEVER LAND PIRATES. Thanks to Jake, Brian’s been privileged to write for heritage characters: Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Wendy, John, Michael and Tinkerbell! In between seasons, Brian did some writing for Nickelodeon’s new hit, SHIMMER & SHINE.

Brian’s career has primarily been action/comedy including work as a story editor on Disney’s KIM POSSIBLE and wrote the 2015 WB video feature TOM & JERRY MEET THE MIGHTY DRAGON. Brian has worked for industry-leading companies Disney (DARKWING DUCK, ALADDIN, BUZZ LIGHTYEAR, HERCULES, TIMON & PUMBAA, BRANDY & MR. WHISKERS, SPECIAL AGENT OSO, the iconic Mickey Mouse in MOUSEWORKS, HOUSE OF MOUSE & MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE); Warner Bros. (THE BATMAN, PINKY & THE BRAIN, X-MEN: EVOLUTION, XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN, YUGI-OH!, ZATCHBELL, TOM & JERRY, HYSTERIA, MUCHA LUCHA!); MGM (ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN series); Nickelodeon (SHIMMER & SHINE, RUGRATS); DIC (ARCHIE’S WEIRD MYSTERIES, TROLLZ, WACKY WORLD OF TEX AVERY); Cartoon Network (BEN 10: ULTIMATE ALIEN)

Work has taken him to both Paris, France and Seoul, Korea for co-productions, including Marathon Media’s THE FAMOUS FIVE; developing & story editing GORMITI: THE LORDS OF NATURE RETURN (based on the wildly successful, Italian action toys); Multimedia experience includes genre entertainment for America Online and writing on multiple educational game titles for Disney Interactive. Publishing in comic books DEXTER’S LAB, SCOOBY-DOO, BUGS BUNNY and more!
