About Teryle

Teryle A. Traver is a playwright and retired theatre educator living in Seattle, WA. He holds a Bachelors degree in English Literature from the University of Vermont, and a Masters of Fine Arts in Playwriting from Goddard College in Vermont. He was a 2012 recipient of the Florida Alliance for Arts Education’s STAR Teachers Residency at the Hermitage Artist retreat on Manasota Key. His play, Pentimento, was part of the Dramatist Guild sponsored Equality Festival 2019 (Reading) in St. Petersburg.
Mr. Traver was a Theatre Educator for Hillsborough County School District (Tampa) from 1997-2018. He was a member of FATE (Florida Association for Theatre Educators) and a member of FAAE (Florida Alliance for Arts Education). He is a member of the Dramatists Guild.
Mr. Traver was a founding member of the Oberlin Dinner Theatre (1975) in Oberlin, OH, Artistic Director for the St. James Players in Scarsdale, NY (1979-1981), and a charter member of the New York City Gay Mens Chorus.
