About Brett

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my Bio. My name is Brett Coleman and I’m and alcoholic addict.
I started drinking at around the age of 11 and continued to use alcohol and drugs for about 20 years. I have been
sober for 18+ years and my sobriety date is 4/21/03. After being sober for 2 years and practicing Alcoholics
Anonymous and the 12-step program, I was guided to get a career in Nursing. I now have been a nurse for 16 years
and for the last 7 years I have worked in Chemical Dependency helping people change their lives like I have.

I have always been a creative writer and once the idea of "The Detox" came to me, I knew it was time to get to
work. I owe my life to sobriety and all the gifts that it has given me. This is the story of my life and countless
others that have lived and died on the front lines of addiction.

Addiction has riddled my family history. I know that most of this story was guided by my higher power. This series
has been a lifetime of experience and knowledge to bring into the light the darkest disease that man has ever
faced.

I have lived in Southern California my whole life. I now reside in Orange County Ca. the sobriety capital of the
world. It is an honor to represent the world of recovery like it has never been done cinematically before

Unique traits: Problem solving and critical thinking in creative ways.
