Is this true

Question please, Now I know agencies aren't suppose to go further than 10-15% correct. So this agency who wants to represent me says they take 20% commission. So i ask them why is so and they responds with "Actually that's completely accurate. Union jobs are 10% but then you have crazy union fees. M...

The reason union % are lower is to protect their members from unfair commission rates. I'm not sure I understand what, if anything, you're asking.

Some agencies do charge more. It's up to you to do your homework to find out if they're worth it.

In my experience modeling agencies take 20%, and agents and managers take 10% in both LA and NY. If you have an agent and a manager you pay 20% total.

Thanks to everyone for your feedback, I appreciate it all I had a funny feeling about the agency once they began speaking on 20% commission, as well as charging me for workshops.
