SYNOPSIS:

After a series of seemingly unrelated mass casualty tragedy events around the world, an apathetic corporate employee, Alex Powers, has his mundane existence in L.A. turned upside down when he begins to exhibit strange abilities. Suddenly, he can speak new languages, and he can perceive things that are about to happen.

Then, when an encounter with a street gang turns deadly, his power literally explodes, decimating a city street and drawing dark creatures to him, while Gemma, a seemingly mousy coworker and Tyler, his stoner neighbor are forced to drop their cover identities to protect him. The appearance of his powers also finds Alex in the crosshairs of Victor Drane, a prince in the familial line of scientists, but for what reasons?

As Alex is informed of his true nature, he's given insight into a much broader world hidden in plain sight; an eons-old conflict shaping world history since the Garden of Eden - war fought between ancient sorcerers holding to the magic of ages past, and those constantly pushing the envelopes of science. While each side maintains the balance, splinter factions on each side try to tip the scales. Strange creatures, clandestine world agencies, and long-guarded secrets about humanity itself have been playing out beneath the bustling, modern facade of the world.
