About Rita

Since the first time I learned how to read and write, I wanted to create. Creating stories, poems, and ideas, and sharing something through words and imagination has always been my passion. When I think about my entire life, I always associate it with being creative, and it was that creativity that led me down different professional paths.

I am originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and I have a background in Marketing/Branding, Content, Writing, and Fashion Design. I always flirted with writing screenplays. Despite working with the film and TV industries in different areas and even studying screenwriting and developing some essays, I always delayed entering this world. Now, I am more than ready to be full-time in what I always wanted to do: tell stories through a screen.

Currently, I am making my short film, "The Fat Lady - She Just Wanted to Be Called by Her Name," which has just been fiscally sponsored! Check out its website below.

Additionally, I have three TV series projects ready to find their sweet home.
