A leading industry WRITER, DIRECTOR. Winner of countless awards and nominations for prestigious Film and TV networks, including best film and best director at the LA film festival, Audience Award at Sapporo, best Director of the Kodak awards London and 15 Promaxes. Having worked at a high level in film and theatre, the commercial and charitable sectors, Sonja has achieved a versatile set of skills including team building, creative vision, communication, brand awareness and development, understanding budgets, writing, editing and a sophisticated design aesthetic.
Career highlights include producing writing and directing several shorts about disabled artists for Channel 4. Creating the Love Animal series – shorts that went from UK only to Global on Discovery Networks. Delivering desperately needed Aid during the Bosnian War. Working with a team of 50 to create the re-launch ITV brand look and idents. Filming with the Kogi tribe in Colombia as part of the research for a Discovery film about Indigenous tribes and their astute awareness of climate change.
