Bio
Multi-optioned and produced screenwriter and playwright, C.O.D.A. (Child of Deaf Adults) and Second City Chicago alum, Jan Kaschner tackles socially relevant topics with lots of hope, heart and sometimes a wink.

She designs edgy, oftentimes quirky, layered and complex characters and dialogue. Her vast and varied life experiences inspire her and give her courage to explore difficult subject matter. By dropping her characters into dire situations, she mines for extreme drama or comedy. Her favorites concepts include the never ending battle of the sexes, multi-generational and racial relationships.

Jan is currently in development with producers on three of her feature-length screenplays:, Bio Pic Drama, based on a true life story, THE 45 YEAR FLING; Road Comedy, SHE'S MY SON and Wedding comedy, MOTHER-OF-THE-BRIDE. Between rewrites, she's creating two new projects, a TV series , Female-driven Action Thriller, DARK INTENT, and feature length Sports Drama, THE HUDDLE..

Jan lives with her consultant husband, Les, in Scottsdale, AZ, s short, one hour flight from LA.
