About Guy

Guy has performed as a professional actor for well over 20 years and written numerous plays and screenplays. As an actor, he has performed on stage and camera in Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Tucson, Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. He has also sung in choruses in Toronto and Montreal.

As a writer, Guy has been writing creatively for over 20 years, and during that time, he studied with a writing group for over 5 years, honing his scripting writing skills. Proudly, a short play of his was selected to appear in a new play festival, and one of his full-length screenplays, APPEARANCES, received positive reviews from all readings from the 2017 Academy Nicholl Fellowships Screenwriting Competition. In addition, APPEARANCES, received a Silver Award (ie 3rd Place) in the Fall 2022 LGBTQ Unbordered International Film Festival. APPEARANCES was also a Semi-Finalist in the 2022 Page Turner Screenplays FEATURE DRAMA COMPETITION, as well as a Quarter-Finalist in the 2021 Page Turner Screenplays First 15 screenwriting competition.

Guy has also contributed, edited, and published the novel, A NAME FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME, and then he wrote the screenplay adaptation in 2019, which he has full IP rights. Gratefully, A NAME FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME received a Platinum Award (ie 1st Place) in the Fall 2022 LGBTQ Unbordered International Film Festival and was also a Quarter-Finalist in the 2021 Page Turner Screenplays First 15 screenwriting competition.

Interestingly, before Guy dove into the acting and writing world, he initially created a short series for cable T.V. where he directed a few of the skits. And to his surprise, the first three episodes won 1st Place and two 2nd Place awards.

Aside from his documentary, Emotional Disease, he directed another short documentary while visiting New Zealand in 2019.
